Alex has spent over 20 years in real estate. The past 10+ years have been dedicated to acquiring ground leases. Alex helped pioneer the business of investing in land under renewable energy ground leases. He’s personally led over 200 acquisitions – more than anyone else in the industry. Alex has a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.  He received a Bachelor of Finance from Miami University. J.C. Frey

Co-Founder, Executive Chairman

J.C. co-founded Renewable Land, after serving as the co-head of Kayne Anderson Renewable Energy Infrastructure Group. He started at Kayne in 1997 and began investing in energy infrastructure in 1998.  He was one of the longest-tenured portfolio managers in the listed energy infrastructure sector, overseeing $20 billion in assets at its peak. J.C. is a certified public accountant, and early in his career, he was an audit manager in KPMG Peat Marwick’s financial services group. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University in 1990 and a Master of Taxation from the University of Southern California in 1991.

P.J. Fielding

Co-Founder, Head of Business Development

P.J. co-founded Renewable Land and has been an investor in renewable energy infrastructure since 2015. He previously served as portfolio manager of a renewable infrastructure fund and an energy transition fund. Over the years, PJ also worked on private renewable infrastructure transactions. PJ maintains close personal relationships with many of the largest renewable energy companies in the world. Before launching Renewable Land, P.J. spent his entire career with Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors.  He graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013.

Nadav Lev

General Counsel and Director of Operations

Nadav is a founding member of Renewable Land. He serves as General Counsel and leads transaction execution and corporate matters. Nadav has completed hundreds of ground lease acquisitions and negotiated more than $1 billion in commercial real estate transactions. Nadav's career began in the New York office of a prominent international law firm, after which he served as a foreign law clerk to the Supreme Court of Israel. Nadav graduated from New York University School of Law, where he was awarded the Judge John J. Galgay Fellowship and served as a senior editor of the Journal of Law & Business.  He earned his B.A. in Economics from Columbia University.

Gary Ghazarian

Chief Administrative Officer

Gary joined Renewable Land as its founding Chief Administrative Officer after serving as a partner and director of operations at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. He has 20 years of experience in fund operations and more than 25 years of experience in the investment management industry. Gary earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1988 and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California in 1995.

Charles (C.B.) Frey

Client Relations and Communications

C.B. formerly worked for a Sotheby's in Washington D.C. for a broker focused on developing and managing Section 8 housing. C.B. was responsible for writing purchase contracts and managing properties. He attended American University where he studied accounting and finance.
